Portable Dog Kennels in Humboldt County, CA

A portable kennel is the fastest way to get a safe, secure run for your dog without hiring a fencing crew for a day of post-digging and concrete work. Our standard kennels arrive at your property as four pre-assembled panels: one gate section, two side sections, and one back section. You set them upright, connect them with eight clamps and eight nuts and bolts, and you have a finished kennel, usually inside thirty minutes.

Every kennel we build is galvanized steel chain-link construction, the same heavy-duty material we use on our full-scale chain link fence installations. That matters on the North Coast, where marine air eats through cheap imported kennel steel in a couple of seasons.

Standard sizes

Our three standard portable kennel sizes, all 6 feet tall:

• 6 ft wide × 8 ft long: the compact option, fits a single medium dog
• 6 ft wide × 10 ft long: our most-popular size for single large dogs or doubled-up medium dogs
• 6 ft wide × 12 ft long: for larger dogs, multiple dogs, or owners who want a roomier run

Each complete unit includes four panels: one gate section, two side sections, and one back section. Everything is pre-assembled at our Fortuna shop and ships as a flat four-panel set.

All panels are pre-assembled at our Fortuna yard, so when your kennel shows up, it's not a box of parts, it's four finished panels ready to stand upright and connect. Custom builds (non-standard dimensions, taller heights, specific gate placements) take approximately one week for completion.

We also carry the Lucky Dog kennel: a smaller pre-fab unit with the cover installed measuring 6 ft H × 8 ft L × 4 ft W (5 ft H without the cover).

Where we deliver and install

Our portable kennels are built in Fortuna and can be delivered across our full service area: Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, and Del Norte counties. For customers closer to our yard we can deliver and set up the same day. For outlying areas we coordinate delivery with other work in the area. Pickup from our Fortuna yard is also an option if you'd rather move it yourself, the panels fit in a pickup truck bed.
